All of us get stressed. It can be work, family, relationships. So many possible ways to get stressed. And the highlight is when all these stresses culminate in our life into a single moment. The so-called moment when @*hit hits the fan. You know that, we all do…. Has happened to all of us one time or the other.
So how to do you cope during these times. The answer is that it is possible by a change in perception. That is, it! Not changing situation or hoping that people acted differently that they usually do. But just changing your perception can immensely affect your mental state and confidence. So how exactly does one change the perception and magically change one’s mental state? Well, here is the short answer. Let go! That is it? Let go? Yes, let go of your desire for whatever outcomes you are hoping for. Let Life take care of itself. Be ready to accept whatever the fate is and magically the tension and stress wears off and your thinking clears up. Now this is not easy it can be very difficult for many of us to let go of the outcomes. But remember we are trying to control something over which we have no control on. And who says that the outcomes we want are necessarily good for us.
Excessively trying to control our life and its outcomes is a futile activity. Most please see life as a train that is speeding on a set course, but life is not a clear track, it is fluid and dynamic with many possibilities available at every moment. I see life as surfing. The best surfers are those who are ready and able to ride the waves as and when they come. The skill building and mental orientation towards a direction is all we can have control on. Then we have to take life as it come and the situations will reveal our preparedness and skill.
